Pressing instructions
We suggest pressing for 15 seconds at 150C with a medium pressure.
The transfer can be peeled warm or cold, but please allow the transfer to cool for at least 10 seconds before peeling.
These figures are just a starting point; many of our customers have great success pressing at lower temperatures or for shorter times.
Artwork requirements
For the best results with our DTF printing, your artwork should meet the following requirements:
- File type: PNG, PDF, or TIFF with a transparent background
- Resolution: Ideally 300dpi, but no less than 150dpi
- Colour mode: CMYK (rather than RGB) for better colour accuracy
- Artwork size: 56cm x 100cm (no bleed required)
- Gang sheets: These can be uploaded print-ready or you can use our gang sheet creator to arrange your designs
A quick explanation of why these matter:
- DPI (dots per inch) – The higher the dpi, the sharper and more detailed your print will be. 300dpi is ideal as it ensures crisp edges and a professional finish. Anything lower than 150dpi can look pixelated when printed.
- CMYK vs RGB – Screens use RGB colours, but printers work in CMYK. If artwork is supplied in RGB, some colours may not print as expected. Converting your file to CMYK helps ensure the colours in your final print are as accurate as possible.
- Bleed – In traditional printing, bleed is extra space around the design to allow for trimming. Since DTF prints don’t require trimming, no bleed is needed—just ensure your artwork fits within the 56cm x 100cm size.
