Why are the colours on my print different from those on my screen?
Your phone or monitor has a very bright screen designed to make your images as bright and vivid as possible.
Your exact image colour tones and saturation will change depending on your brightness setting, screen type, screen age, display settings, and many other factors.
If you have Apple's 'night shift' or similar turned on, they can even vary depending on the time of day.
As if that wasn't enough, screens make colours using Red, Green, and Blue light, compared to printers that use Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black) ink.
This makes precisely matching screen colours impossible. We can't know exactly how an image looks on your screen.
However, we professionally calibrate our fine art printers to international standards to ensure that our prints are very close to how your image should look.
Still, it's impossible to guess customers' screen settings, so your print may arrive with a very slightly different colour tone or saturation than you expected.
Why have you sent my prints out looking like this?
We understand that mistakes happen, people aren't print experts, etc.
We found that the overwhelming majority of customers intended to print their images, knowing there may be a very slight variation in colour tone or saturation.
That meant delaying prints until we could contact the customer caused many more issues than it solved.
That's why we trust our customers' judgement and offer free replacement prints if they have a problem.
